Why Xero CSV for Monzo statements?

Xero expects exactly Date / Amount / Payee / Description in that order, with DD/MM/YYYY dates for UK/AU/NZ tenants or MM/DD/YYYY for US tenants. Our Xero export auto-detects your region and pre-formats the file so Xero's bank-statement import accepts it on the first try.

Monzo's own download options (PDF, CSV (in-app)) cover the basics but don't always include Xero CSV. Monzo's in-app CSV export covers the current account only and skips Pots transfers in some periods. The PDF statement includes every transaction — Pot movements, card payments, bank transfers, and salary credits — and the converter preserves merchant categories where Monzo prints them.
